Premise: I love this series. Many thanks to the authors. For me it's like (or even better) the Harpoon-era, when I waited patiently for the release of every new battleset.

All the scenarios are great. I have only critic. I find that some of the scenarios start with NATO in enormous disadvantage.
In Baltic Fury #1 for example, the reading time for danish and german aircrafts is a great handicap for Denmark and Germany. Soviets planes are arriving in a far great number than NATO fighters are available and it's almost impossible to stop them. I understand that the NATO is caught by surprise, but I think this is too much.

You may be right. Others have said the same, yet some have enjoyed the challenge.

I wrote a Blog a couple years ago, it doesn't include later scenarios but gives an idea of the overall storyline and what to expect. http://northernfury.us/blog/post13/

We should be announcing a major update to our webpage shortly which includes a quick writeup on each scenario and link all of the reviews that have been done on those scenarios so far. It should be quite helpful.

The trick is to understand that Gunner98's scenarios are telling a story that mirrors a book series he is writing (or vice-versa). The scenarios aren't necessarily meant to be balanced, which paradoxically can make them more realistic than many scenarios.

You do have to suspend disbelief for Northern Fury. It seems that every tin-plated, Soviet-aligned dictatorship is up to speed with a coordinated global sneak attack on NATO, while the Western powers somehow remain blissfully unaware of danger up to the last second. Of course nothing stops you from modding the scenarios to your own narrative... :)

Well there is some disjunction, such as Cuba joining in fits and starts and a few hours late, Libya a day later and Serbia etc 3 days later. Algeria getting dragged in reluctantly, Vietnam not joining until attacked. The Central Americans and Africa it is primarily Soviet 'trainers' doing the coordination. North Korea is playing its own game. Finland getting an offer they couldn't refuse but still drag there heals. The gradual ramp up in Poland with the defections.

However to give the human player a bit of a challenge, and add a little tension to the scenarios, its all good I think.

Most major NATO countries have shown a very good track record of walking into things in blissful blindness.
