Ok, the future looks bleak and cold and dark so I think it is time to learn to play some of the many games I've bought but never got much beyond loading up and playing half a tutorial. These are my current likely objectives:

Tigers On The Hunt
Armored Brigade
Field of Glory Empires

I've still got WITPAE and WITE2 but the manuals are used to keep the draught out so they'll probably remain dormant.

Ah, and of course Panzer Command Ostfront.

For my winter campaign I am also planning some (Matrix) catch up

- WarPlan Pacific
- Panzer Korps 2
- Order of Battle (various dlc)
- Warhammer 40K Gladius

Already started with Fantasy General 2, which I am enjoying at the moment

Will add Decisive Battles Ardennes as soon as that one is released

…that should be more than enough for the coming months.

Besides a beta test I'm doing, I've set my winter games to Europe WWII and I. Strategic Command War in Europe. Strategic Command World War I. Warplan. Alternating. Like 3 months at a time.

I have two games to learn although I did try one, I may get another one around Christmas, and also read books. Besides cuddling and playing with cats.

I have a stack of games I already own lined up now that fall is here and the temps begin to drop. The list is too long to post but there is plenty to occupy my time! That doesn't even mention all of the new games and DLCs that are out or soon to be out!

Here's to a long, cold and dark winter!

Wow OP, you sound like me temporarily shelving WitP-AE and WitE2!

It's our second "winter" in a KY paradise - compared to NE Ohio's "nuclear winter" 100% cloud cover - but due to age, I have some games I need to play before the first death:

Campaign Series Middle East - In preparation for CS Vietnam, finally going in depth with this game, and it is truly deep, especially if you're into creating your own stuff.

Matrix Desert War 1940-1942 - gosh I'm old school but love the look of those chits.

Matrix (SSG's) Kharkov: Disaster on the Donets - good gosh, Mike, how long you gonna wait??

War in the West - I dipped my foot in and found the water to be pretty good. Lovely-looking with the mods and the Air Phase isn't so complex.

Not sure if I have the strength to again tackle TOAW IV, Tigers on the Hunt, and definitely not Shadow Empire. We'll see, and best wishes gaming to all.

IMO a great set to alternate.
SC3 WW1 and WiE are both nicely balanced and WarPlan is different enough to add to that balance.

Although I did not mention these it is likely they pop up in my play list.

Shadow Empire is that VR game that I try to love, but we can’t seem to get beyond the first dinner date.
Maybe one day I learn to love her.
