Is there anyway to receive e-mail updates on progress and updates?

The only ways I can think of are if you wishlist it on the matrix website you get release updates.
You could subscribe to this forum as well. I do that and I get e-mails if there is a post.

Sorry - looking at the number of posts under your avatar, I guess you knew that and are looking for something more specific.
