im trying to see a game use for recon pods such as the DB-110 Recon pod. has anyone used a recon mission with a recon pod. does it give any useful intel?

The camera pods are very useful. Just be aware that you'll probably have to fly at relatively low altitude to detect or classify anything, especially with the generic cameras.
