The sub was in silent mode and I chose the red arrow as my movement path.

The sub did NOT move, but every ship along the move path was revealed. [Some I already knew were there]

From memory it is a bit of a tricky one as I believe the issue is due to the row of hidden ships, your sub could not actually move, and it is the type of situation where we had to decide how to convey that info to a player.

For example:

1) if it just can't move and there is no feedback on that in game, you might think it is a bug, e.g. you keep clicking on the desired destination hex and nothing happens... why?
2) if we only reveal the first hidden unit, it may come across as a bug as well as a sub can normally pass under hidden ships, e.g. why not let it stop at the next available hex etc.
3) if it can't stop at the first hidden unit, because another unit that is previously known is blocking that stop position, it may come across as a bug as well, e.g. why not let the sub pass to the next hex, but again the next hex is also occupied, and so is the next one and so is the next one and so on.

In these cases it was just decided to reveal the hidden units that prevented the movement in the first place and charge the unit with a loss of AP as if it has moved. But in your case it looks very odd as it is a long row of hidden units which doesn't come across as correct either.

I'd have to have a think on this, but I don't think there is really any way around this that I can think of.

Fair enough Hubert. More concerned about the issue in the other thread...
