Hello I made a comment in game feature request discussion a while ago. In current game, the one that fly low and fly slow doesn't have any penalty in BVR engagement. Mod thought this could be a bug and suggest me to report this on Tech support forum . Here is the test. I assigned Chinese Chengdu J-10C for both side, one will attack from high altitude , afterburner on. The other one will fly 1000ft above the ground, at Loiter speed. The reason why I choose J-10C is I need an A/C that can carry ARH missiles, has an AESA radar so the one fly high doesn't have to suffer look down penalty, doesn't have an internal DECM device (so don't mess up with the final PoH for testing purpose) Good base agility (4.9) so the altitude at weapon calculation phase has a considerable impact on PoH. I also change the weapon loadout and reduce the chaff to 0. Anyway, screenshot attached. with god's eye view you can see both sides release missiles almost at the same time. The first test scenario I turned off the auto evasion, follow missile straight in. the result is here quote:

Result: 97 - MISS I run the test 10 times **** Win Draw High 1 3 Low 6 the second scenario I turned on auto evasion , crank if possible. That improves the A/C at high altitude , high speed 's survive chance, however it is still the one at a disadvantage. Anyway, both sides release missile almost at the same time. quote:

Result: 77 - MISS run the test 10 times **** Win Draw High 1 5 Low 4 So, based on these two tests, I would say in a BVR duel, the A/C that fly low and slow doesn't suffer any penalty, on the contrary the one fly high and fast is at a disadvantage.
