I realize the "Att Hard" values for the Tiger I (329) and Panther (245) take more than the armored penetration of the two respective guns. However, it is worth noting that the Panther's 7.5cm KwK 42 - although having slightly less kinetic energy than the Tiger I's AP round - has slight superior AP performance (due to its kinetic energy being spread over a smaller area, 75mm vs 88mm).

So I am surprised that the Tiger I's 8.8cm KwK 36 has such a larger number. Although the Tiger was more heavily armored, not by very much. I would expect these two vehicles hard attack and defense numbers to be close to one another.

I am also surprised that the British Firefly gun - essentially the ballistic twin of the Panther's gun, has a lower "Att Hard" value of 223 (although this may be due to its thinner armor?).
