Dec 27th to 30th Sometimes you find KB the easy way, sometimes you find the location of KB the hard way. This time, the hard way.... Morning Air attack on TF, near Duff Islands at 127,138 Weather in hex: Light cloud Raid spotted at 19 NM, estimated altitude 15,000 feet. Estimated time to target is 6 minutes Japanese aircraft A6M2 Zero x 54 B5N2 Kate x 54 D3A1 Val x 17 No Japanese losses Allied Ships xAK Steel Seafarer, Bomb hits 7, heavy fires, heavy damage xAK William Luckenbach, Torpedo hits 3, and is sunk PC Pulaski, Bomb hits 3, and is sunk xAK Steel Trader, Torpedo hits 4, and is sunk xAK Steel Navigator, Torpedo hits 3, and is sunk xAK Steel Voyager, Torpedo hits 4, and is sunk xAK Steel Exporter, Bomb hits 1, Torpedo hits 3, and is sunk This was an empty convoy heading to San Fran from Australia, so thankfully nothing lost other than digital sailors. There are other convoys further south carrying more important stuff....they have been alerted appropriately so I think we can avoid any further losses from this move, but we'll see how deep he goes. Other losses of note: CL DRAGON and CL DURBAN are lost; I left them mistakenly off Kuching, and they were damaged a few turns back. Subs finished them off. I guess the Poles aren't getting their cruiser...... China: I still think the main attack is developing up the Ankang road. Makes sense, would cut Sian off from the rest of China, though that slower road will make it harder to rotate units if there's a big fight. I am shifting units there and I do have a Corps in Ankang so he doesn't para drop there. Otherwise, kind of quiet, too quiet....he is gathering strength I fear Burma: Intel reports 2nd Division is on Transports to Bangkok....confirmation that I think the road through the Shan States to Tauynggi is the main axis of advance, NOT up from Moulmein. DEI: Recon flight over Palembang, so Robert now knows I've been busy there. He'll see 15 units, colored Tan with a British one on top (an AIR HQ). The reality is that this is a collection of Dutch units only, but probably still enough to cause trouble and force a full division + to take Palembang, which is the point. Singkawang is active airfield for the Japanese, but I am going to bombard with a cruiser squadron and see what we can kill on the ground. There is a Japanese landing at the first Oilfield, Miri. Robert has been very cautious landing on these probably because he thinks I am going to bomb them. He might be right..... Aleutians: Not a peep from the Empire. I am landing a Regt on Amchitka. I'll probably stop there until I build the airfields up, but if there's nobody by April I'll assume he's leaving this area alone.
