Hello All,
I'm a noob to wite2 and I am playing the Russians in my current game. Can anyone give me suggestions on support unit set up on Tank Corps, Mech Corps, Cavalry Corps and Rifle Corps. Also what would be the ideal set up of a Russian Army. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. :)

There is no fair division for the USSR: if you add this, you win the game.
You need to be flexible and check all the available options yourself.
Engineers are versatile, but for a long enough period of time you will not want to see them chained to your troops. The infantry in the fight against tanks needs AT weapons and tanks for support.
In the city and on the fortifications, flamethrower tanks can be useful.
Attached ski battalions will be effective in winter. And all this will have to be combined and adjusted to certain conditions. They constantly need to be reassigned for effective use.

At the start I clear all the support out of the lower hqs and push it all up to stavka.
It needs at least a couple of turns to flush everything out.
Once it is in stavka you might want to send some of the lower morale/exp units to the reserves.
I then start giving the support units back to the army hqs - usually start with 2 artillery support units per army and then add more for the armies likely to see more action.
There are some support units such as anti tank/mortars which can use the same equipment that is also needed by infantry divisions so you also have to balance whether to have that equipment in a support unit versus available to fill out infantry divisions.

the gap in the early war TOEs for tank corps is motorised infantry elements, so that is a strong hint as to what to assign to them. This only solves itself organically come the 1944 TOE.

Cavalry Corps are a good all round formation, I like to hook in Tank Brigades at the start and then the various SP gun formations later on. Rifle Corps are basically assault formations, early on rifle brigades are good, later on heavy tanks, SU-122 etc, assault engineers and so on are all good attachments
