An early Merry Christmas to everyone!

I do not have the exact figure at hand, but New Zeeland has a daily fuel shortage, which the USA needs to supply.

Convoys are set up to run some fuel down under. When looking at the map, it appears that NZ is two separate islands.

If a a convoy of fuel be run to Auckland, will it go all over the country (both halves)? Or do we need to separately supply fuel to the southern island?

Also, anyone know what the daily fuel shortage is?

You need 160 fuel per day for the HI. You will also need fuel to run your shipping.

You can easily calculate the daily fuel needed for HI in any location that has it. Fuel can only cross a strait automatically if there is a port on each side of the strait and a navigable shared hexside. Even then, the amount that crosses may not be enough to meet the demand. Just send a big tanker to Aukland and a smaller one to Christchurch.

Resources are also an issue for NZ industry. Noumea has some, as does Suva.

Hobart (Tasmania) is also a good source for resources to support New Zealand. It is around 30 hexes away. That's about equal to Noumea and Suva. Hobart>NZ is a sea route that is quite out of the main lanes so it may be safer than the others for unescorted or lightly escorted convoys.
