So, turn 30, night turn for US and they get an entire div. sent to one hex right on my frontline?
I understand there are scheduled reinforcements but its impossible for them all to get there, traffic wise and even tactically, wth?? I'm screwed.

Hmm, there are scheduled reinforcements of entire divisions for both sides. I'm surprised there are put on the front line...

yes....I would have thought that there was a scatter effect, I mean within 5-10 hexes sure, but all in one hex and right at the frontline? Its physically impossible for them to all get there in any stretch of reality.

75th is positioned on 8 hexes around 62,39 when arriving. So AI moved them to one hex. It's about 12 hexes from Marcouray. Doable.

Interesting dynamic might be here though. I’d be curious to see how much damage is done from an attack on these units. The hex is badly over stacked and, as I recall from limited experience, when units first come on they have no AP’s. Obviously, a terrible situation that the AI should not let exist but I wonder whether significant damage can be inflicted when you discover one of these.

Thanks for the heads-up on this situation, OP.

Yes, it would be interesting to see about John S theory here, which makes sense. It can also be recreated in the editors (I think) to test out.

well, I shagged it with artillery , everything I had trying to degrade it before it can get truly activated, I ate it down by maybe 20%, but still, I was spread out in that area and just dont have enough to stop it if it really gets going. Its just not realistic at all, but AI's are going to do what they do. When I start to mod the Scn., Im going to have to make some changes regards its placement parameters et..

I wonder how it compares to the real WW2 cause the Germans and Russians often moved full divisions by railway right up to the combat area and detrained and threw them into combat immediately.

Good question. I know in several of the John Tiller games, one did have an option with the editor on the "penalty" for dumping off fresh troops in this way. I think he called it the "protection" factor (or lack of) when entering the game map.

Seemingly not a big deal, but I can see how it could potentially "ruin" the OP's efforts and strategies when this huge mega-stack appears.

Yes, exactly Rosseau, I remember that.
