How is it different: repairing - reinforcing (according to the instruction)?

Navy -> repairing ? Land Unit -> reinforcing? Air Units -> ??

I have a land unit with a strength of 8 out of 10. I stand a turn and do nothing. The unit has supplies, it stands next to HQ. She did not gain strength at 2.

What am I doing wrong? Do I need to be in port or at the main source of supply? [This is what the repair manual says]

repair and reinforce are the same. Just didn't think of the wording when I wrote the rules as you reinforce a division with men and repair damage to a ship.

Page 30-31 of the manual. As long as a unit is in main supply or has enough port supply it will eventually reinforce. Naval groups need to be in a port 5 size or higher.

If the port has a "!" it means some units are getting basic supply and NOT reinforcing.

You can put a unit in "priority" to reinforce... yellow to green plus sign. On page 31 it shows you the priority list of reinforcing in non-priority and priority reinforcement setting. They are the same except priority gets their stuff 1st.

If you dont devote enough to repair section units don't get reinforced.

Also units that are in the front lines get reinforcements 1st over other units.

Make sure you have enough PPs set aside for reinf/upgrade in the build menu. I usually put 1/2 my PPs there and prioritize my important fronts.

1. For me, on pages 30-31 of the manual, there is no such thing.
2. On pages 33-34 there are two variants:
"Upgrading and Reinforcing – All unit types automatically upgrade
and reinforce over time if in supply. A player may choose to set a
unit to priority reinforcements and upgrades. Priority ensures those
units get reinforcements first. It also ensures those units are upgraded
immediately. Units upgrade and reinforce in a particular order and
condition. Reinforcement costs are modified based on the unit type
and the current purchase price of a new unit of that type. It is less
expensive to reinforce an existing unit than create a new one"
next
"Repairing and Upgrading Units – Units are automatically repaired
and upgraded if they are in main supply or port supply and received
supply stockpile. Units that have basic supply due to a lack of supply
stockpile do not get reinforcements. Units will automatically upgrade
their advancement levels as time passes. The closer a player is to the
maximum logistics, the slower the units will automatically upgrade.
A player may also turn off automatic repair/upgrade when the unit is
selected. A unit will repair 20% of its full strength each turn if possible.
Repairs and upgrades happen before the turn starts."

sentence: "... if they are in main supply or port supply and received
supply stockpile" as for me it sounds like you have to be in the city (main suuply) or in the port

The manual is unclear.

Back to my unit. It was the only unit that needed replenishment. I probably didn't assign anything in the build menu to replenishments, because it doesn't appear in the game manual.

You want something fixed first prioritize it.
