In this video, author says that Germans had amassed fuel for 6 days of fighting (5 millions gallons). Yet, plan assumed that by the 4th day they would reach Meuse. So....they had ENOUGH fuel for WaR scenario purpose, but not enough to reach Antwerp.
And that is what I say in many topics here ;-)

Another source saying the same:
"On December 16, 1944, Hitler launched his last great offensive on the Western Front through the Ardennes."
"On December 26, 1944, LTG George S. Patton, 3rd Army, arrived at Bastogne and relieved the garrison. By late December, the skies cleared, allowing American airpower to again take the fight to the enemy. German vehicles, particularly their armor, began running out of fuel, as many of the Allied fuel dumps that they had hoped to capture intact were destroyed by the fleeing Americans."
During 10 days of fighting, they had enough fuel in rear dumps.

There is no such thing as a historically accurate strategy game. Every game stops being historically accurate from the very first move player do. First unit that moves ahistorically, first battle with non-historical results, mean we ride in unknown.
