Transfer from CWDB to DB3K?
Any chance the former Rhodesian aircraft still used by Zimbabwe in the 1990's to 2000's could be transferred over?
Arms embargoes didn't start crippling the fleet until quite late into the 2000's.
Specifically the
FTB.337G Lynx, SF.260 and Alouette and AB.205 G cars were all used in the Congo interventions in 96/97 and 98 to 2003.
Appreciate land locked African countries may not be a top priority!

Books Great Lakes Conflagration - Second Congo War 1998-2003. Tom Cooper - Helion Publishing - Africa at War Series ISBN 978-1-909384-66-8 PP.38
"Initially AFZ Hawks flew armed reconnaissance sorties, some of them armed with Chinese PL-7 air to air missiles"
Imagery wise there is nothing I can find so far to show PL-7 in use with the Hawks but Zimbabwe did take delivery of J-7/F-7 in the same time frame and they came with the PL-7, but they were busting sanctions, so not surprising it wasn't in the press release!
http://aviadejavu.ru/Images6/HI/HI-11/45-1.jpg - Hawk Mk60 was capable of using AIM-9 when delivered by BAe. Matra Magic used a similar interface to the AIM-9 and THE PL-7 is a blatant copy of Magic, so the ZAF had the means motive and method.

The error is not with the entry about the booster as it cannot be sublaunched as its the terminal phase when the missile is already airborne.
The error is that the entire missile 3M54 (sublaunched) needs to be added to the Yasens mounts not just the terminal high speed booster phase. Think this has been raised as an error in the DB492 build as it used to be ok?

Yes, right now the Yansen is default loaded with the terminal boosted warhead. The actual missile that carries the warhead (below) is sub-launchable and defaulted to other Russian boats like the Oscar III.

So this thread goes all the way back to 2013, is it possible for Forum owner, to edit posts, saying that it has been solved or added? Would be encouraging to know that user adds are looked at and acted upon.

Also read that they have the Paveway MkII but cant find the link. Below link also states the Maverick. Hungary also just bought 2021 the IRIS-T. The Brazil entry says that the JAS-39E has been cancelled and that just isnt true. What is true is that there has been a discussion with India and Brazil and possibly Thailand to make a carrier version but that is still only on the drawing board, so not cancelled since it hasnt gotten very far yet. According to the book Desert Storm Volume 1: the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and operation Desert Shield 1990-1991, Iraq converted a Boeing 727 to a ELINT platform.
I can't find any more information on it in the book, except that it was briefly locked on by a Kuwaiti Mirage during the Iraqi invasion.

<summary>Replace all AA-11 (R-73) with AA-8 (R-60) in iraqi MiG-29 loadouts</summary>
<detail>
According to the book Desert Storm Volume 1: the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and operation Desert Shield 1990-1991, Iraq never received R-73E for their MiG-29, they were instead armed with R-60M/MK. The SIPRI arms transfer database also does not mention R-73E being trasferred to Iraq.
Please replace all AA-11 (R-73)(DB ID: #1896) with AA-8 (R-60) (DB ID: #1897) in Iraqi MiG-29(ID: #1347 and #3342) loadouts

Iraqi MiG-29s were armed with R-27R (ASCC/NATO-codename 'AA-10 Alamo') and R-60M/MK (ASCC/NATO-codename 'AA-8 Aphid') missiles and thus lacked the most advanced Soviet short-range air-to-air missile, the R-73E (ASCC/NATO-codename 'AA-11 Archer').

Haze may not be as hypothetical as it seems and the second article has an alleged Satellite image of the Mi-14 x 2 at Wonsan DPRK in 2017 but who knows?

<summary>North Korean Mi-25 (Aircraft #1383) and Mi-14PL (Aircraft #1470) should be flagged as hypothetical</summary>
<detail>According to the definitive On The Path of Songun, the rumored North Korean Hind deal never actually happened, and they have never been seen in any kind of parade or demonstration.</detail>
<Evidence>On the Path Of Songun, Mitzer and Oliemans, page 99-100:

quote:

Reports of up to 47 Mi-24Ds reaching the DPRK stemmed from a misreporting to the US Congressional Research Service decades ago and are therefore certainly incorrect, which is not surprising given the fact that North Korean military doctrine seemed to favour lighter helicopter gunships instead. In the same vein reports about a handful of Mi-14PL ASW helicopters delivered during the same period also appear to be false.

</evidence>

The Mi-14 is indeed not hypothetical as is mentioned later in the same book that the original quote is from, and the articles.
The passage that Coiler quoted talks about false reports of Mi-14s being delivered by the USSR, the articles and the following quotes from the same book however are about Mi-14s transferred by Cuba (and possibly another unknown nation) to the DPRK in the 1990s.
On the Path Of Songun, Mitzer and Oliemans, page 119:
quote:

Lastly at least two Ka-28s and two Mi-14s were acquired by North Korea from Cuba in the late 1990s, replacing the Mi-4s previously used by the Naval Flight Squadron.

quote:

Satellite imagery however reveals five Ka-27 derivatives and up to four Mi-14s at Inhung air base on the eastern coast, indicating more examples were sourced from other nations to form a relatively sizeable fleet. Of course satellite imagery is insuffecient to determine the precise variants concerned, it is possible that the excess Mi-14s and Ka-28s are in fact Mi-8/17s and civilian ka-32s (possibly used for spare parts).

So the Hazes are not hypothetical but the Hinds still are. Thanks for the correction.

<summary>Hypotetical E-10A USAF (E-8 JSTARS replacement, cancelled in 2007)</summary>
<detail>

The Northrop Grumman E-10A Multi-Sensor Command and Control Aircraft (MC2A) was an ambitious program to replace several types with a single model. As David Willis reveals, it proved to be too ambitious and was quickly dropped when the US Air Force (USAF) needed funds for higher priority projects.

The Northrop Grumman E-10 MC2A was planned as a multi-role military aircraft to replace the Boeing 707 based E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Sentry, E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (J-STARS), and RC-135 Rivet Joint aircraft in US service. It was based on the 767-400ER commercial airplane.

Initially, the E-10A is intended to replace the E-8C Joint Stars aircraft to provide improved tracking of moving ground targets. Additionally, it will be designed to detect low-flying cruise missiles. Later derivatives of the E-10A could replace the Boeing E-3 AWACS airborne surveillance aircraft (E-10B) and RC-135 Rivet Joint signals intelligence aircraft (E-10C).

Spiral 1 - MP-RTIP
This version would have provided substantial Joint Cruise Missile Defense (CMD) capability with focused Air Moving Target Indicator (AMTI) modes and augment the E-8 Joint STARS in the ground surveillance role.

They planned to have the E-10A operational in 2013.

<summary>Super Swordfish L Band Radar</summary>

Target acquisition and fire control radar for the BMD system.
Can Guide Exo-atmospheric interceptor missile PAD to hit its target in space at an altitude over 80 km from earth.
It can detect and track 200 targets simultaneously traveling at a speed of over Mach 12.
The Swordfish LRTR currently has a range of 600 km (370 mi)-800 km (500 mi) km range and can spot objects as small as a cricket ball (3-inches in diameter), which the DRDO is in the process of upgrading to 1,500 km as of 2012. These may end up as entirely new designs as well.
