Can someone bring light into how exactly it works, or how it is exactly regained? The Manual is VERY specific in that topping iff i read correctly :-)

Thank you

Readiness is derived from moral, and a units moral change is mainly a function of its supply and strenght.

More exact formulas for both are in the manual.

For intuiton: a unit at very low morale needs ~1-2 turns in good supply (> 8) and full strenght to be back at good fighting strenght. The first turns of rest are usually most impactfull, topping the unit of is critical to high moral, so is beeing in good supply, because the invers is also true. I.e. a single turn on low strenght and or supply will drastically reduce a units moral.

Hope that helps

As far as I understand it, morale seems to be the "latency component" of readiness, i.e. all things that effect readiness but do so over time (or with a delay) are instead taking the route via morale. Examples for this are regaining morale after high losses and subsequent reinforcements or changes due to supply. Examples for things that affect readiness directly are HQ bonuses (both rating and HQ XP) or a unit's strength points.
To determine the current combatworthiness of a unit you only need its readiness (morale is already included in it, 2% morale = 1% readiness), the morale value in the UI seems to be more of a fyi to help you understand why your readiness is what it is and how it might develop in the next few turns.

I found this formula posted on another thread about WiE - assume same math?

For unit with 50 morale/50 readiness and 7 supply

50/10 x .75 + [10 - 50/10 x .75] x [7/10 x 50/100]

5 x .75 + [10 - 5 x .75] x [.7 x .5]

3.75 + [3.75] x [.35]

= 2.62

So a unit with Morale of 50, Strength of 10 and Supply of 7 can expect to get a 2.62 Morale increase,

This is interesting but it's made me even more confused... in that equation which numbers are which variables, and which are constants? It doesn't help that the Morale and Readiness numbers are the same. Also the addition in the final line appears to be wrong, unless I've misread the order of operations (which is also ambiguous!)

This is good stuff here. I have noticed that if money is tight...but if I can at least get damaged units to 8 strength..that it seem their stats are hugely better. Oh course being attached to an HQ helps..but even if not and especially pulled from the line...they will get in better shape. I get worried when my units fall to 6 or even 7 strength and are on the line and I cant pull them off or reinforce their battered hides.
