<summary>Arudhra (MEDIUM POWER AESA RADAR (MPR)) </summary>
<detail>
MPR indigenous rotating active phased array multifunction 4D radar capable of automatic detection and
tracking of aerial targets ranging from fighter aircrafts to slow moving targets. The system has an
instrumented range of 400 Km and is able to detect 2sqm RCS targets as far as 300 Km in range with the
altitude coverage from 100 meters to 30 Kms. The radar operates either in Staring or Rotation Mode. In
rotation mode, the antenna rotates at 7.5 / 15 rpm with surveillance coverage of 360o
in azimuth and 30o
in
elevation. In staring mode of operation, the antenna stares in specified azimuth with surveillance coverage
of ±60 o
in azimuth and 30 o
in elevation. The Radar is based on a solid-state active aperture phased array
with Digital Beam Forming and has electronic scanning capability in both azimuth and elevation. The
coverage is attained using wide transmit beam and multiple receive beams in both azimuth and elevation.

The following are the technologies established as part of ARUDHRA radar and it has spin-off for all future
similar class of radar projects of LRDE
• Rotating Active Phased Array
• Time synchronization of multiple receivers
• 2D Digital Beam-forming
• DBF based active array calibration
• Multi-Beam processing
• Critical real-time software and firmware
• Independently rotating IFF radar.
• Mechanical Packaging (Engineering, Thermal, etc.,)

<type>UPDATE</type>
<summary>Please update Israeli HAWK SAM phase-2 and 3 TV sensor range and max alt engagement range of the missiles </summary>
<detail>
Phase 2 HPIs had an optical tracking system added for operation in an ECM environment. This device, called the Tracking Adjunct System (TAS), was positioned on top and between the two radar dishes.

The Israelis have upgraded the Phase 2 standard with the addition of a Super Eye electro-optical TV system (DB sensor #503) for detection of aircraft at 30 to 40 km and identification at 17 to 25 km. They have also modified their system for engagements at altitudes up to 24,000 m

At present, for example an Alpha Jet, is sometimes detected only at 17 km, but more often when it is flying above the SAM site.. And not by the Super Eye sensor but the MK1 Eyeball.. This was tested at altitudes of FL360 and FL120.

Next to the TV sensor range, the missile max engagement altitude is presently set at FL580, but can be adjusted to max FL787 (24.000m)
(so it will be able to engage a Syrian MiG-25 at FL60 )

<summary>New loadouts, and HMD ability to all three F-14E Tomcat variants</summary>
<detail> Since 2005, U.S. Navy F/A-18 Hornets (Both legacy and "Superhornet" versions), have had the JHMCS system available to use.
As such, if the Navy decided to keep the ST-21/AST-21/"Quickstrike" Tomcats around for as long as the Hornets have been around,
then it would be reasonable to assume that F-14E's would also gain the same capability.

-Add a HMD ability to the "properties" section of all three F-14E variants since 2005.

The newest entries of the F-14E's in the database (Current version: DB3000 v491), also lack the following weapons:
--GBU-134 and GBU-136 "Superfrag" munitions (Only applies to the year 2020 and beyond).
--GBU-56(V)2/B and GBU-56(V)4/B LJDAMS
--AIM-9X-2 Sidewinder Blk II and Blk III (Only applies to the year 2020 and beyond).
--AIM-260 JATM (Only applies to the year 2020 and beyond).
--AGM-88E AARGM-ER (Only applies to the year 2020 and beyond).
--AGM-154 JSOW-ER (Only applies to the year 2020 and beyond).

Reasoning for adding these weapons are relatively reasonable, being that if the weapons are already used by U.S. Hornet platforms,
then there would be no major reason why they wouldn't be able to be used on the F-14E variants; since most, if not all of the weapons listed are in similar size and weight to weapons that are already included for the F-14E's by default.
So there would be no reason why there would be physical restrictions. At most, the weapons would probably require software-based upgrades in order to be compatible. The F-14E's are also hypothetical platforms in the first place, which gives even more room to take liberties.

Potential loadout's for the F-14E's(Meant as examples):
--4-8x 500lbs bombs (GBU-134 JDAM), 2x AIM-9X (Blk II/Blk III), 2x BVR missiles (AIM-260 or AIM-120D), external fuel tanks, Targeting Pod
--4x 1000lbs GBU-136 or GBU-56 JDAMS, 2x AIM-9X (Blk II/Blk III), 2x BVR missiles (AIM-260 or AIM-120D), external fuel tanks, Targeting Pod
--6-8x AIM-260 JATM, 2-4x AIM-9X (Blk II/Blk III), external fuel tanks, Targeting Pod
--4-6x AGM-88E AARGM-ER, 2x AIM-9X (Blk II/Blk III), 2x BVR missiles (AIM-260 or AIM-120D), external fuel tanks, Targeting Pod
--4x AGM-154 JSOW-ER, 2x AIM-9X (Blk II/Blk III), 2x BVR missiles (AIM-260 or AIM-120D), external fuel tanks, Targeting Pod

That might not be the best place to post it but in B1225 there is

Admiral Ronarc'h [FDI] -- France (Navy), 2024, FTI, Belharra, 16x Aster 15, 16x SCALP
Admiral Ronarc'h [FDI] -- France (Navy), 2024, FTI, Belharra, 32x Aster 15

The French FDI are sadly with only 16 Aster 15/30 cells (It's 2 SYlver A50 modules). It's the Greek ones that have 32 cells (for Aster 30).

<summary>#3237 Talash is broke</summary>

Illuminator and Search radars need to be updated. They are most definitely not Fan Song and Spoon Rest.

Illuminator not linked to missile and range isn't matching. It looks like they use a FCR similar to Mersad (MPQ-50/60 or Ofoogh 3). Google calls the MPQ-50 Copy Kavosh. Search radar is Hafez which is in the DB (check newest Mersad variant).

Googles says..Sayad 2 a copy of RIM-66. Range in DB now is very optimistic. Its likely close to the RIM-66 (60km). Sayad-3 is the follow on that seems like much greater range (120Km).

There isn't likely to be many of this. Khordad-15 (4 tube launcher) seems to have superceded it.</detail>

I can't shoot Amraam's off Sufa's or F-15I's. I end up getting into dogfight range with Pythons. Played with altitudes but getting a consistent message in the manual firing allocation window that they must be illuminated by own radar or CEC capable radar. Seems like it should be. Putting a report as I'm not sure exactly what it is (radar modes?)

<summary>The arcs for the optical sensors and laser systems on all Frogfoots are incorrect.
</summary>
<detail>DB entries for the following Russian / Soviet but will also effect all the export SU-25K models:
#307 - Su-25 Frogfoot A (Soviet Union [-1991] - 1984)
#2378 - Su-25 Frogfoot A (Russia [1992-] - 1992)
#2371 - Su-25SM Frogfoot A (Russia [1992-] - 2009)
#4230 - Su-25SM2 Frogfoot A (Russia [1992-] - 2013)

All have 1x Laser Designator [Klen-PS] with an arc of 360' for the above entries.
The Klen has a much narrower field of view. More like PB1, SB1 at most.

Also:
#4231 - Su-25SM3 Frogfoot A (Russia [1992-] - 2016)
1x IR Camera [SOLT-25]
1x TV Camera [SOLT-25]
1x Laser Designator [SOLT-25]
SOLT has a much narrower field of view, circa PB/1 PB/2 TO SB/1 SB/2.

Also:

#4445 - Su-25TM Frogfoot C [Su-39] (Russia [1992-] - 1998) -- HYPOTHETICAL UNIT
#2513 - Su-25T Frogfoot A (Russia [1992-] - 1994)
Both have 1x I-251 Shkval [Laser Designator] with 360' arc, it is more like PB1/SB1 possible up to PB2/SB2 being very optimistic and generous.
</detail>
<evidence>
https://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia-Air-Force/Sukhoi-Su-25/2209525 Head on image clearly shows laser designator window and emphasises relatively narrow field of view.
https://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/1233220/14-russia-air-force-sukhoi-su-25sm3/ The aperture on the SM3 is only marginally bigger with a wider field of view than the KLEN but again suffers from a comparatively narrow field of view, the FLIR element of SOLT is mounted in an equally fixed narrow field of view position in the nose. It is definitely not capable of 360 rotation or designation in the manner of a typical western pod such as Lightning etc.
https://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia-Air-Force/Sukhoi-Su-25T/1153555 the Shvkal system aperture is obviously bigger and has a wider field of view but is still not a 360 system.
</evidence>

May not be worth the effort of changing it given how many SU-25 entries are out there but the limitations of the Russian/Soviet designators arcs are one of the key weaknesses of these systems and identified as such by Russian studies of their Syrian involvement.
Thanks
K

<detail>
The N-025 Arbalet radar has not been routinely fitted or equipped to in service Mi-28N, it would be more accurate to delete it,
or mark the existing entry as "with Radar" and create a more accurate second entry without the radar?
</detail>
<evidence>The image used in the DB shows the Mi-28N in service and has no radar fitted.
The second image in the DB3K article shows how obvious the radar is when it is fitted, big round blob on top of the rotors.
A cursory search for the MI28N will show how few images there are with the radar fitted and most if not all are of test aircraft or air show manufacturers P/R.
</evidence>
For consideration as ever.

<summary>#4842 - Apache Guardian AH.Mk.2 [AH-64E] (United Kingdom - 2023) Service Entry name and load outs are inaccurate!
</summary>
<detail>#4842 - Apache Guardian AH.Mk.2 [AH-64E] First air frame was delivered in November 2020 and began flight testing as of July 2021. In an entry level configuration it will be ready for service as of 2022 not 2023.

It is very unlikely to be called the Apache Guardian in UK service and all current official references are to the Apache AH-64E so likely to be AH.Mk.2 Apache [AH-64E].

There are no plans to integrate Brimstone (2) and the UK has placed substantial orders for AGM-114R and AGM-114-N4/P4 HELLFIRE and would use existing inventories.

Stinger ATAS is unlikely for the vast majority of missions and should be omitted. No sign of UK ever having anything but tiny stock of Stingers for SF use?

The UK does not use 2.75" Hydra rockets it has retained the CRV-7 and will continue to use these with AH-64E.
Weapons and load outs wise in the near term UK AH-64E will use the same AGM-114 CRV-7 combo's as the AH-64D

There is a possibility of JAGM in the mid term?

The 11 Jan 2022 article gives the impression the UK order of JAGM is in flux but still appears BRIMSTONE is NOT on the agenda due to integration costs. A case of Brimstone (2) being too expensive and not offering enough bang for the buck.
As an aside the term Brimstone 2 is a bit dated as MBDA don't make the original MM wave Brimstone anymore and production is now all the dual mode version trialled as Brimstone DMS and evolved into Brimstone 2, in production it is now just referred to as Brimstone.</detail>

https://www.mbda-systems.com/product/brimstone/ MBDA Page refers to just Brimstone but the dual seeker and spec relates to what is called Brimstone 2 in the DB3K.
</evidence>

Any how all a bit picky I know but its not as if the UK's primary attack helicopter shouldn't it be represented with some degree of precision.
For consideration anyway.

Thanks

<detail>#2929 - Ka-52 Hokum B [Alligator] (Russia [1992-] - 2012) Has Igla-V in all its load outs as an option.
Whilst it can carry the Igla/Verba these are rarely used (just review the images in any search), more realistically its standard load out is 12 x AT-9 Spiral-2 [9M120 Ataka-V] and 2 x 20 S-8 S-8KO 80mm Rocket [HEAT].
The aircraft as two entries for 6/6 30mm 2A42 Burst giving just 240 rnds, the real aircraft has 460 rounds.

As an aside the many Russian / Soviet load outs for the 57mm S-5 with the modern Russian aircraft and helicopters are erroneous, the S-5 fell out of favour as far back as the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan as it was found to be ineffective in payload effect and stand off range, the Su-30SM SU-35 Su-57 SU-25SM etc all are not likely to ever use it (unless the sanctions are really starting to bite!).
</detail>
<evidence>
Just Google KA-52 and see how many images there are of these operational aircraft with Igla/Verba? (not including airshows!)</evidence>

I am working only on the principle of keeping the DB accurate and if you don't ask you don't get etc, with no expectation that it will be a priority....

K

Current Popeye loadout of F-16I Sufa loadout carries Sparrow III which isn't correct. This was likely over a copy over error. Should be the equivalent Amraam for the generation of Sufa build.
