There is no LXXXXIX Corps in Wehrmacht. If it is a typo, it may read as LXXXXI Corps. However, LXXXXI Corps should not be assigned to WE. It should be in BA.

"LXXXXI Corps zbv was formed on 7 August 1944 by the Commander-in-Chief Southeast in Serbia, from Senior Field Command Headquarters 395, formerly Commander Salonica-Aegean. The Corps was in Serbia until the end of 1944. It served in Croatia until April 1945, and finished the war in Austria."

page 29, 324: German Ground Forces of World War II by William T. McCroden and Thomas E. Nutter with a Special Foreword by award-winning author Col. David M. Glantz, published by Savas Beatie (2019). ISBN 9781611211092.

Perhaps, a clarification is appropriate.

Date of arrival and placement in West as well as location in the list indicate the intended name is LXXXIX Corps
We already have the LXXXXI Corps

Denniss, I think you are misreading it. What HOTEC is talking about is the LXXXXIX (99) Army Corps, which never existed, while you answered talking about the LXXXIX (89)

The Germans apparently did not use the substraction in Roman Numerals but only the addition. This is also why numbers like 40, 41... are written as XXXX and XXXXI respectively instead of XL and XLI.
