I see that streamers do a lot of Zooming in and out with their wheel mouse. It's hard for the fingers.
Is it possible to assign hotkeys for zoom levels to mouse button ? Can you show that ?

Another request; Can we see the Racial victory condition panel ? No one seems to have shown this...

Thanks

There is pgUp pgDn keys for zooming (which can be re-mapped).

Also, I'll try to remember tonight to go into that victory screen.

I was thinking more about the old Hotkeys like <home>, <insert> and <End> that zoom directly to a zoom level.

But i suppose that these hotkeys are available also.

Thanks Erik.

To add to the requests, I found there are really great overviews of the main UI mechanics. That being said, there are some really amazing things hidden in some of the sub menu’s that I jus noticed on Larry’s stream. Which is for fleets, the bottom right button in the bottom left window when a fleet is selected provides a fly out with many fleet options like stances and formation tightness, etc. I wonder how many of these little gold nuggets are out there that seem to being missed. So if your preview streamers have a moment don’t forget to showcase some of these more hidden gems it would seem.

Also from a dev diary standpoint, a deep dive on fleet mechanics like mentioned above would be awesome.

The hotkeys might not be that conveniently located.
Stuff like PageUp/Down, Home, End, etc. - I do not think they actually work. I always catch myself using the scrollwheel or the mouse, rather then going for them.

They are very inconviently lowcated, usually half a keyboard from WASD where most gamers keep their fingers. Asuming there are still a few keys unused in that area, maybe move them there by default?

When i know that i am going to play Distant world for a while; i put the hotkeys like <home>, <insert> and <End> in my mouse with Programmable Buttons.
It is more comfortable.

A wise idea.

Yet it also shows exactly how bad those places are, given that "putting them on your mouse" is better then using them where they are

The Victory panel is the same as in DW1.
I think several of the conditions are the same. Down to the last digit

Thanks. It seem to be almost identical to DW1.
