As axis PBEM first game - how to set about getting trucks into MOT/PZD in March 42 and not have 100k in repair! Losing around 1800 per turn. Refit does not seem to attract trucks nor does being in NR?

I have hardly any Mot units on the map (most 80% in NR or Berlin) and almost no units are moving to help

What are the tips here?

We need to get ready for 42 offensive, not suffered too much in the winter - but we have almost no trucks - some units only have 30% of what they need.

Have them sit in refit mode on national supply sources. Berlin, Vienna, etc. Will take around a month, so about 4 turns.

What is a kind of sustainable truck loss in the summer should I expect and what kind of repair rate is going to put strain on my systems its seems 100k seems very high ...

Somebody told that 2.5k per turn overall (divide your overall vehicle losses by turns) is fine. In my games vs AI and vs player I am close to this ratio.

When I tried to get trucks near Berlin - I could not as most of them are in front line depots. Maybe leaving divisions for multiple turns will work, but I did not test it as I am getting trucks in TBs and reserve.

I decided to send some panzers to Western Front for vacation and to get some CV surplus that I can spend on moving infantry to a map way before their original transfer date. Not sure how it will work. But I remember that on the last turn one of my panzer divisions got 300+ vehicles in WF

My units get trucks in the Reserve, if they've Refit on. That much I am sure of.

Maybe they take more than 1 turn depending what's the gap they've from current to needed trucks.
But in my personal experience the best way to refill with trucks a unit is to send them to the National Reserve.

I've read all tales and stories about how in the Reserve trucks disappear but all the times I've checked for my relevant mobile units they always not only retained but also gained trucks as long as they ewre put in Refit status. (Which in general I do for anything in the Reserve, as Axis. After all things are there to be refitted with stuff without eating frontline freight)

Putting them on refit might be the key, but the reserve will absolutely drain your units of trucks if refit isn't toggled, or so it seems.

Here's a picture of me deploying my entire armored/motorised reserve after a nice rest in the reserve.... Those MPs did not change, because every single one had close to zero trucks.

What happened with their trucks?

Even when I have around 70% of them I still have 40+ MP in my divisions?

If you put divisions in the Reserve TB without refit mode, they'll shed their trucks.

which is why the advice is to stagger return of truck heavy units to the map (so they are not all looking for trucks on the same turn) and to do so close to an NSS

Never saw this. They gain trucks or stay with the same amount. Maybe you have a big deficit and that is why units are giving trucks?

I haven't experienced it myself because I never put anything in the reserve TB; but judging from various posts and AARs here, that is what seems to happen.

See Bread's post above with 0 trucks after sitting in the reserve.
