Hey All!

I have been looking at redesigning the combat results popups.

This is an example of a new Infantry v Infantry in the fire phase. The same format would also be used for the close assault phase (so you might in that case also see German casualties).

The top area shows the forces involved - In this case the Germans are firing at a British stack.
In the middle area, the modifiers and dice result.
In the bottom area, the casualties suffered. In this case, the British lost a whole unit. Had one reduced to a half unit and that half unit was also pinned.

The popup presentation looks pretty good. Is there a possibility before the result of battle popups, as the assault or fire phase is taking place to see how each interaction between opposing units is affecting each unit in real time as it happens?

Have you considered landscape format, rather than portrait?

given screen proportions.

I like it with two suggestions:

1) also show before the attack detailing every modifier that will apply

2) use for all types of combat (APFP, ATFP, close combat)
