Hi - sometimes when playing around in designing a mod, I have triggered a cascade of notifications that every conceivable unit that both sides could build are now available to build. This can run up to over 100 notifications on the Entente side and results in a lot tedious clicking to eliminate that the notifications that say, for example, that Luxemburg can now build troop transports (I actually received this notification). This seems to happen when I am a experimenting with changing the start dates for a test campaign.

Is there any way of just turning off these notifications in advance?

They can't be turned off directly but they can be avoided by changing the date the units become available, and you can do this by going to Campaign -> Edit Unit Build Data -> Advanced, and then changing the Minimum Production Date to the start of the campaign.

Use the Apply Data function to apply your changes to all other countries.

Though there may be a quicker, albeit less satisfactory, way around it, which might be worth trying, and that would be when you start the campaign to turn off Messages via the Options screen, and then turn Messages back on on the second turn.
