I am starting a week in Binh Long....and looking over my orders and assets. I want to be sure I a not missing anything; there dont appear to be any helo assets at Loc Ninh ( other than gunships and a cav helo unit with its organic cav troop).
There fore it 'appears' I am going to have to leg my inf. 48 hexes to the FB? I have trucks for the mortars and arty only....wow....

You have helo assets in the south.

It is up to you how you manage your helo assets for all of the tasks at hand. You will have some tough decisions to make!

Man this is gonna be some scn

Clarification of orders requested sir;

So; the 1/16th orders say its sppt. vehicles are to take QL13 to An loc, does that mean the 3rd Inf Div. sppt vehicles at Lai Khe OR the Task force veh. at Phuoc Vinh? There aint no way to get to QL13 without a ridiculous route march SW a long way and coming back up to Lai Khe to gain QL13 that way....north it out, no way to get across the song be river.

OR can I Helo them with the sheethooks to QL13, I 'assume' ( because i have seen it live) that the Sheethooks can airlift, well, anything on the map but tanks...the supply trucks especially need to heloed to QL13 to get to AQ alaska...

Hahaha... No, you'll have to drive your supply trucks to the village, because I am a mean SOB. Keep in mind that there is enough time to get there with the supply trucks, but make sure you are using the RIGHT supply trucks (aka the supply trucks from the right logistics company), otherwise you won't get the points or the benefits

Make sure you are using the 1.01 temporary update before you start!!! https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=5131062

No, you cannot airlift your supply trucks

You should be able to refuel your helo's at Hon Quan with the ARVN supply trucks... because I'm nice. Sometimes. On Tuesdays.

Any chance you can do an impressions type post once you are a little way into this "A week in" scenario Carl ? It looks absolutely fascinating but also mucho intimidating !

I would probably start with Mekong, it is smaller and the map is smaller.

The tasking is similar, but only a few battalions to worry about. (Binh Long you will be commanding up to 9 battalions as the week progresses)

Again, definitely grab the 1.01 update. Or wait for the official update before starting.

I wont be tackling either until I have tackled all of the other scenarios but it is definitely Mekong first and then Binh Long after that for me 🙂

I completed the dak to mountain 75 turn scn.

It was definitely a good go! Got a minor vict. Only issue was 2 hueys transports got Disrupted for low fuel, but landed at its base airstrip yet stayed Disrupted for the rest of the game, 45 turns...

I did DL the 1.01, you directed me to Jason, I am not intimidated by the large scn., and if I fuber, oh well;)I expect 'stuff' to happen........BUT, do you have a timeframe for the official update?

Official update should be ready for release in a couple weeks or so. Not too far off, just trying to address as many issues that are presented as we can.

Q- do I need to move the level 2 logistics as well, if level; 1 already exist at the objective location, ex; An Loc the 2/28th has supply trucks level 1 there already, do I need to move up level 2 assets?

I think the supply cache trucks at Lai khe need to stay at the Brigade HQ?

Leave them there until you need to move the Brigade to An Loc

96,134 isn't on the road, it's beside the road.

Stick to the road and you'll be fine

yes, it is beside the road true.....thats kind of well, not tactically smart, to leave it? It on a ridge overlooking the road, theres a bunker there.... theres a block several hexes north, I am protecting against an ambush, I dont see why I should be fined for that....

Something to consider indeed for the update.

Until then, stick to the road.
