I. Does AI automatically add pilots to groups when I have the Automatic AI Air system turned on?
II. Does the AI repair and automatically add crew to a captured airport from the enemy? when AI air system on?
III. How to make AI direct JU87 only to combat support tasks?
Thank You

1) yes
2) it does this as part of its redeployment routines, so it identifies a target base and allocates the resources, via the supply system
3) in effect yes, it tends to put most of the combat aircraft on Ground Support missions

Thanks for reply, one question more, what numbers should the old supply depot be when i set up a new one at the front? 3 or 4? what is the best way to set them up or maybe remove the old ones? I haven't reached this phase of the game yet.

ok, the only sensible answer is 'it depends'

in part its situational and in part different players have different ways of getting good results out of the logistics system (& there are equally very many ways to make a mess out of it).

I'll point you to Carlkay's current vs AI AAR as that sets out one model very clearly, adapt that and you won't go far wrong. I've a couple (one vs AI, one HtH) where there are discussions of 1942/3 depot set ups - these are a bit different to how to manage the 1941 advance ... but also of more use from a Soviet perspective.

Very broad brush, my view is if the depot is primarily pushing supply onto front line units, set it to #4 and keep it at that value. There is a bit of feel for the system here but the '8' key is a very useful visual clue.

behind that a belt of #2 with some #3 (the latter being keyed to your airbases).

further back 0 or 1.

A useful variant is to pick say Minsk and Kiev and set to 4 when well behind the front, this operates as a supply reserve, drop to #1 and all that flows forward - very useful if there is a lot of combat or you are advancing again.

But to stick to the direct question, I tend to have the front 2 at #4 and then #2 or #3 - but all this is art not science
