ORIGINAL: Nomad I believe that Ian R has the solution. There is only 63 supply at Hiroshima/Kure. The port is fine, I was able to load scenario 1 and resize the air units with no problems. I have never run into this playing as Allies, my resizing is mostly done with CVEs and at major bases later in the game. I just looked it up and the one manual reference I found quickly was: quote:
The resize takes affect if the group’s ‘Resize Allowed’ toggle is ‘On’ and the group is located in a base with a size 1+ airfield and the base’s supply is at least twice it’s requirements. IME, where the air group is onboard a ship, you also need to disband the ship out of TF into port as has been described above to put it "in a base", .... Edit. I just ran a test sequence, using the Ryujo which starts in a TF at Babeldaob. Babeldaob is a port 3, and airfield 3, and the airgroups resized on disbanding the TF. Next stop was Yap - port 1 airfield 2 - the airgroups resized. Next stop Ulithi - port 3, airfield 0 - the airgroups did not resize. I then edited the scenario to create an airfield 1, port 0 base (Woleai)- the airgroups resized: Conclusion: When you disband a carrier into port, on board groups will resize if the conditions for groups resizing at a land base are met. BananaConvention needs to get more supplies to Hiroshima, or move the carrier to a base with an airfield, and sufficient supply on hand.
