Thinking abour making a mod the most pressing changes is ofcourse fixing the lmg finnish squads use, increasing italian base moral to 50 and giving alpini the correct oob.
Do you people have other ideas for what you would like to see changed

Romanian/Hungarian morale boost. Or whatever is needed to make them perform closer to a soviet base `41 rifle divisions.

Romanians should get a moral boost in 41 when they are reclaiming besserabia i can agree with that.
Hungarians are not really a thing until 43 when they do get decent moral already right?

The real pro tip is to send them to Tbs and get some germans instead 😅
But romanin NM is defenitly on the list.

Why are italians there and not balkans? romanians can only go to garrison but italians both.

Cuz I got them on a map as an reinforcement. And I don't have enough supply on a map so I placed them in Soviet Garrison.

Did you disband the semi motorised one?
It using so many trucks for no benefirnis a horrible deal how should axias bias deal with this.

Pretty sure its the 9th italin divison in the gareison box look at how many trucks it uses.

Both of them have 1.3k trucks. I will hold it for now. Could not even imagine that this low CV divisions have so many trucks!

I suggest 23rd Army be frozen. I think I read somewhere that some of the units were peeled off to defend elsewhere. This could be triggered when the Axis reach certain hex(es).

I have a list of demands from the Fuhrer himself.
I: Romanian and Hungarian morale must be raised.
II: Interdict every tile on the first few turns to simulate Soviet chaos.
III: Increase range of putting Soviet units to the Reserve theater box to 30 hexes, add more VPs to the South to make the South actually worth holding.
IV: Increase the morale of Southwestern Front units so the Germans dont reach Dniepertown in 4 turns.
V: Increase the survivability of German AFVs.
VI: Increase Soviet losses from winning battles and also losing battles. (Soviets receiving 200-1000 losses from counterattacking a Panzer Division in 1941 is absurd.)
VII: Increase Grigory Kulik's admin to simulate his superior grasp of logistics

These comments are all dumb. You are missing what is truly critical for Axis balance: Germany doesn't get the Maus (or a few of the other Wunderwaffen) even if they hold out till August 1945!

This unfairly robs the German player of their chance to turn things around in Q2 and Q3 '45.

Fix (nerf) superior Soviet logistic system that allows them to put all units on supply priority 4 and don't give a damn about it. It is impossible to imagine that Soviets had so many ammo/food that each division was over 100% of their need. At least for the first year or two.

Maybe it is enough to change ingame 100 points in preferences.

Maybe it will be possible to somehow make panzer divisions to fight better then motorized one. As current system makes no sense that motorized division is way better then a panzer one. Why would Germans use panzers in that case if it was much cheaper to produce armored vehicles than tanks?!

Right now one doesn't get the counters of the units newly raised to replace the units destroyed in the pocket, aside from 2.

This means 3 Panzerdivisions, 14 Inf Divisions, 15 Art Bat etc. are lost, not to mention the Korps and Army HQ. Some Inf Divisions, arguably 4-6 should be counted as rebuilt since they still had various collections of survivors that were used as the core. Also one gets the Army HQ that replaced 6th Army.

One gets the newly raised 2 Mot Inf Div and since the 60th could form approx a Regiment from the survivors that shouldn't count as newly raised, so those are sorted.

Frankly it is not exactly uncommon for many strategy games to have a player-made mod that becomes the official PvP mod to use by the community as players go through the gaming experience more than devs and ultimately have a better grasp of gameplay flow and balance in pragmatical and realistic terms.

Usually the problem is to get the mod inserted and played at the start til it affirms around - and in general it is a community-circle effort and not a single player effort.

Agree. As it was mentioned before, most players play vs AI. And it is hard or maybe even impossible to balance things to play well vs AI and in PvP in the same time.

Luckily the editor is very easy to use and a balance mod will be quite quick to make functionally. Gathering information from numerous veteran players will be the hard part. Playtesting will also be hard, ATM the method of reducing Axis AFV losses is to increase their armour. However it will be difficult to quantify what other effects this will have.

Increasing armor is alternative history. Pz II or III can not have 100mm from the side, 150 from a front. Game looses its charm.
That is why developers intervention is needed to prevent Soviets running/ability to concentrate 1000 AFVs in once place. At least in `41
