For a rather unfair but easy run, try "Wittman's Gamble". (Well, easy up until you hit the Fireflys and Cromwell IVs.) If you feel up to it, or simply want to learn by experimentation, you can follow up with "Wittman's Return" and "Missed Opportunities", which are part of the 3-scen Battle for Villers-Bocage set. ("Gamble" is the first in the set.)

In general, for learning the game, you'll want smaller battles - if in the briefing text or scenario title it notes that it's "big", it's correct. ("Supercharge", f'r example. Don't think I've ever managed to finsih out that one.) "The Matrix Moves Out" is fun, but the Artifical intelligence in it is uncomplicated by real waypointing - it'll headbutt to the Victory Hexes, and thus is somewhat vulnerable to tactical manuervering. "Turncoats" is a good one, but unbalanced against the Germans. (It'll be hard just to make it north of the crossroads, much less *exit* anything.)

Always read the briefing notes, if available. Some scenarios are quite deliberately unbalanced, and while playable as either side, they're not built for it and thus tend to be of little enjoyment and/or educational value.

"Breakout From Borisov" was, as I recall, somewhat difficult. If you run into something too tough, or just something you're not yet ready for, you can always drop out and try a different scenario. One of the first ones I ever tried was *waaaay* too much for me as a beginner, but I went ahead and tried something more my weight... and not only enjoyed myself, but learned a lot about what I needed to do.

Have fun... that's what it's all about...
