Snipers are among my favorite type of infantry unit. While they're almost unparalleled in the field of scouting, they're also useful in other areas as well.

My preferred uses are stated above, killing ATR/Bazooka teams (if you get lucky, one bullet can kill two or more men in a squad/team). I once took out a whole GE Recon Patrol with one shot from a Soviet Sniper.

I'd have to say though that my "most satisfying use" of the sniper is to kill enemy unarmored/lightly armored units. I've given US opponents fits when a single sniper kills/immobolizes 2 or 3 jeeps in a turn, and remains hidden. I've gotten hits from elevation with them into Halftracks, killing those as well.

I've never had one assault/kill a MBT before, but I know it happens. I've been on the receiving end of those types of attacks too often recently (doggone Roland and RB, with their "Super 2-man US Scout Teams" :mad: ).

Snipers are worth their weight in gold. When playing with C&C "On", they're even better IMO.
