I was playing germans vs. americans, when my german sniper (exp 83) killed 5 US infartry on the first 'shot'. I was amazed. Then a new squad on the sights and again 5 dead. Range was 5 hex on both cases and victims on open ground. What is this? Usually they customarily never hit anything at all.

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. Remember not all those men are killed, just out of combat, if you need a 4 man stretcher party to carry a wounded man back, you still have 5 men gone from the unit.
thanks, John.

NO, NO, NO! The squad was doing a line dance and the sniper put one bullet through all of them. Warning: Do not Conga on the battlefield! Tommy

I may be wrong but i believe, with the exception of AT/How weapons, infantry weapons like rifles are not "litterally" considered to be firing a single round during their fire phase. This is not restricted to slot one either. Back before rifles were taken away from the AT guns i'd routinely see experienced crews wound/kill multiple targets per fire phase after the rifle has "fired" similar in theory to the representation of MG weapons, they obviously dont fire a single round during their fire phase but fire a "burst"

That's nothing. This past weekend, I was on my first Tobruk battle in the MCNA, when a crew of a truck, numbering 1 man, took out a fortification with his pistol.. I wanted to stop the battle right there and give the guy the Iron Cross, but before I could he got killed. So many battles, so many heroes, not enough time on the History Channel for all of them ....

There was a thread around a month ago about this. I mentioned in it that in one battle I had a GE sniper kill 8 on his first shot, causing the SO unit to disperse...and that was at 13 hexes.

Maybe his first round hit a hand grenade or a satchel charge and the resulting explosion killed the other 4. Or maybe some green turd had his finger on the trigger of his sub gun and sprayed his mates down good as he died from the snipers shot.
In reality Charles Hathcock pinned down a company of over 200 NVA Infrantry for almost two solid days with only his spotter to help him (plus some arty that he kept calling in)In the end the entire company was wiped out with almost 80% casualties. (Read Marine Sniper, Biography of Gunnery Sgt. Charles Hathcock)
In closing, my only experience with truck crews being courages is when I am on the receiving end and they blow up my last operational Tank.

No way! I'am playing a campaign and my other 5 snipers do not hit anything. But this one keeps scoring. I'am gonna give him the Mannerheim Cross even if he is a german. And the iron cross with oakleafes as a bit extra

I remember reading a book about an American sniper(called Marine Sniper: 93 Confirmed Kills) where he had an assistant/spotter and they used a .50 cal machine-gun to wipe out/maul an in-experienced NVA company Book web-page In the Kanev scenario I was not surprised that a SO sniper nailed three of my guys....twice for two different platoons While searching for the book I found a strange page about
Sniper phonies Blehh! ZoomBoy
