I recently downloaded Steel Panthers WaW and upgraded it through v 6.1. (Great game by the way!) I played through several scenarios and one of the short campaigns. I also made some minor changes/additions to the US Army OOB (formations only--no changes to units or weapons.) Now I would like to start the long campaign playing as the US Army starting with the Torch landings. I would also like to upgrade to v 7.0 when it comes out. My questions are: 1) Will my v 6.1 save games work in v 7.0? 2) Will v 7.0 change the OOB files? 3) If v. 7.0 will change the OOB files, will it change the OOB file format--ie. Can I just make backup copies of my modified OOB and load them back in (after making a backup of the new originals) after the upgrade? (Of course, with the relatively limited changes I made in one OOB file it probably makes a lot more sense just to add these changes to the new, improved OOB file!)

It's always advised (and even warned during the upgrade)to complete current games before updating the game. Many problems arise from trying to continue old games with new game engines and new OOB's. Yes OOB's will be changed and the file format for them will be the same and with the OOB manager you can swap OOB's quickly from modified ones to game originals.
