I have enjoyed the "upgrades" of Subchaser and others of the screens, clouds, weather box etc in Uncommon Valor. And the various maps.

While it may take a while before the WITP map of the Pacific is redone, I look forward to changes in the other art work - even before seeing the originals. I presume the screens, icons etc used in UV are not transferable to WITP.

Has Matrix considered putting a switch on the preference screens or editor to allow changes to alternate artwork inside the program rather than rename, copy, replace in windows?

It would be way down on the list, even if it was on the list.

If you're familiar with Battlefront's Combat Mission line of games, what intrepid modders have done there is come up with little programs that take a mod, automatically back up the old .bmps, and then apply the new .bmps.

The third party community has developed two such mod managers so far.

I would think that a similar program could be developed for WitP and UV -- would completely solve the issue.
