Military Gamer's Combat Command is launching two new leagues for Steel Panthers World at War. League Name
The Battle for Hungary Description
In October 1944 the Soviet juggernaught turned on Hungary, and for the next three months a series of vicious attacks and counter attacks saw some of the toughest tank fighting of the war. Following the failed Ardennes offensive the remnants of the crack German Panzer Divisions were rushed to retake Budapest but were crushed at the battle of Lake Balaton. Join this league as either Germany or the USSR and witness the late war heavy armor fight it out in head to head battles at the gates of the German fatherland. All games MUST be fought between October 1944 and January 1945 either by PBEM or TCP/IP play. Player rankings will be determined by raw score. The top 3 Allied and Axis players will have their names entered in the Hall of Fame. All games in this league are to be played with Command Control, historic ratings and characteristics "on" This league will begin immediately and run until 6pm EST December 2, 2001.

Operation Market Garden Description
Re-live the vicious battles surrounding Operation Market-Garden. Join the US and British airborne forces, and the frustrated rush by XXX Corps to join up with the bridgehead at Arnhem or the German units reacting to the aerial armada. All play MUST be fought in September 1944 either by PBEM or TCP/IP play. Player rankings will be determined by raw score. The top 3 Allied and German Players will have their names entered in the Hall of Fame. This league will begin immediately and end at 6pm EST December 2, 2001.

Over 30 players have signed up for each of the new leagues already. There is no limit to the number of players, and the leagues still have nearly 2 months to run. So if you are looking to find some SPWAW opponents for PBEM or online play, them Combat Command is the best place.
