Please go and vote for Civilization III and tell all your friends from around the strategy gaming world to do the same. This is our last chance for a strategy game to move forward to the championship as the best (type) game of all times. Heh, well at least from Gamespy's point of view. Would you really want to know our genre was defeated by Mario Brothers III? heh

I think it would be great if a turn based strategy game won it all, think what that would say about our genre, though for the most part we are a silent lot, to show those FPS, and Platform Gamers and RTS/RPG action gamers that our gaming type is better than them all. ;)

This election will be bigger than the Bush/Kerry bout in November, if you've never voted for something, now is the time....rise up dear brothers in arms and let us march to victory together. ;)

I was dissapointed with Civ3. It didn't surpass nomber two in my book. Maybe Civ 4 will be better. I spent more time as a kid with Mario 3 than I did with Civ3.

I was also disappointed in Civ3 when it came out. The 'Conquests' exp. pack is very good though.

If they can't do better than Civ3 (including its rip-you-off expansion), they deserve to die.

All I have to say is "mineshafts in the farmlands" and "rollercoaster rail lines."

Well aside from the fact, that there is only so much one can do with a concept. I liked Civ 3 and I have PTW and Conquests.

I won't say it was revolutionary, but it is better than Civ 2. Maybe not by enough to warrant the purchase to some.

But regarding the vote, I noticed a person can just keep voting endlessly eh. So I would not get to excited about the numbers. They are not valid.

Yeah Gamespy just discovered that also LES and are doing re-votes for the Diablo 2 vs Zelda and Halo vs Halflife, but, NOT our precious CIV III vs Mario stuipidity! I demanded it get a recount as well, but, heh, you know how far my demands went. Console lovers abound there it seems.
