Hi all!

I've been wondering about how the game exactly calculates, whether the battle result is a Draw, Marginal Victory or Decisive Victory?

For a long time I had somehow figured out that if the ratio of the winners score compared to the losers score is <2, then it's a Draw. If it's between 2 and 3, then it would be Marginal Victory. If it was over 3, then it was Decisive Victory. Now my theory was wrecked and I'm watching 3,25 ratio...and the result is Marginal Victory

So, could someone please clarify, how the the result is calculated exactly.

It's been a while, but I think it is like this. If you are playing against a person the MV-ML level is 2:1 and DV-DD is 5:1. If you are playing against the AI the ratios become 3:1 and 8:1 respectively. It looks like you have been playing the AI.

According to the manual:

6 to 1 or greater is a decisive victory
3 to 1 - 6 to 1 is a marginal victory
less than 3 to 1 is a draw

I couldnt find any reference to any differences between victory against a human and victory against the AI, and I have no insight on this as I have - as yet - never played a human.

This is correct for AI games but in campaigns the designer can develop his own scale.

I did not know that...I have never designed.

I thought a designer could only change the values for the Campaign Result...not the outcome of each battle (scenario).
