Could any of you salty dogs please tell me (screenshot will do too ) if ground losses reported on the Intel screen provide any additional details other than Army Loss Points as in UV?

I know in the AAR's, it displays Casualties reported, Guns lost & Vehicles lost. Is this info also carried over to the Intel screen to provide us a tally similar to Aircraft losses & Total ships sunk?

If not currently implemented, maybe this can be considered in a future update? I wouldn't expect each ground unit be listed, possibly just three line items indicating the total figures similar to the AAR's.

TM!

Hi, The intell screen translates ground combat loss into VP. So you get a VP total not a number of men lost total. (same as in UV)

Thanks Mogami. It's unfortunate because the men on the ground were as important as the ships & aircraft. Their sacrifices deserve more recognition than just a mere VP. Of course this is only a game (maybe not to some), but I think this would be fascinating to see!

Maybe its too late too hard code this procedure for Ground Combat results.

However, the combat reports show only Allied and Japanese loses. (Not American, British or Indian loses etc.)
Instead of just allied combat loses. It would be nice to see exactly what nation the Japanese kicked.

Since each army infantry unit is already well defined and hard coded, this might not be such a hard task

Hi, so what's the chance this could be added to the wish list for an update after the release of WITP?

Isn't anyone else interested in seeing these figures on the intel screen as well? I find it somewhat difficult to believe that everyone only cares about how many aircraft & ships get destroyed.

Maybe because being a Marine I believe there should be a bit more emphasis on all those fighting men who gave everything.

Marine Corps combat losses

Prisoners of War (POW) | 348

Wounded in Action (WIA) | 67,207

Killed in Action (KIA) | 19,733

Other deaths | 4,778

Yes I know the Navy & Army suffered more losses, but my heart is with the Corps.

Hey, we don't even get this level of detail from the war in Iraq!

In years to come we'll see these unfortunate figures from Iraq.

Mr. Mogami:

Ok, let me see if I understand the concept of loading troops onto transports.
First, you load the troops, assign a destination to the task force, and wait until the preparation points are near 100%.
I understand this takes about a week or more.

Now, the only time in the entire game, as I understand, when time is imperative, is the starting date Dec. 7, 1941 for the Japanese.
Some might dispute, that the allies have to wait for evacuations too take place. so so…..

This waiting, when the Japanese need too take as many oil, resource and air bases as quickly as possible, seems hindering.
Any other time, any nation can simple plan and wait, attack when completely ready, even the Japanese.
So this rule, seems only to hurt the Japanese at the beginning of the Dec. 7, 1941 campaign.

Once again another ruling against the Imperial Empire.

Hi, Don't load troops if they are not prepared and you want them to be before landing.
Many Japanese units begin the game with objectives already set and at 100 percent.

For unopposed landing it does not matter except the unit will suffer parts being disabled. (they will recover when unit rests)

For lightly defended areas levels do not matter if you bring enough. The Japanese outnumber the enemy in SRA.

The poor Japanese do not suffer one bit from this rule but the poor USMC in 1943 going in against dug in Japanese troops better have taken the time to prepare.
