Just wondering if the some of the smaller countries will be included in OOB like the 201st Mex FS which operated with the 58th FG in the time period near the end of UV but mostly in the Phillipines. If not at this time how about a request to do it as maybe an independent unit from the 58th? Also one thing I noticed in UV was that the Aussie ships had no patrol planes on them like US ships do. Will they in WITP as some research I found out that No9 RAAF was assigned to several Aussie CA's using Walrus a/c?

No9 Sqdn is there but has SOCs (no walrus in the database for some reason). I still can't figure out how the hell I'm supposed to split it up and use them aboard ship.

Just what are the Britts and other common wealth ships using for float planes in 41/42?

The primary Australian "Float Plane" was the Supermarine Seagull V - a metal-hulled improvement on the Seagull III. It was a three-seat, enclosed cockpit, bi-plane that was actually a seaplane (hull immersed), not a float plane, and was amphibious. It was designed specifically for Australia but was also used by the British, who named it the Walrus. The Seagull Vs in Australia service are called Walrus by many historians. The British later built a wooden-hulled version as Walrus II.

They could be capapulted from cruisers and were assigned to the old Albatross, the Australia and Sydney classes and at least one of the Australian Merchant Cruisers. The ship-board units were assigned to No. 9 Squadron, which had a number of additional aircraft and spares. They were also operated as secondary aircraft by a couple of other squadrons (No. 5 for sure, one or two more). Australia had somewhere between 50 and 100 (as I recall) and continued to use them until after the war.

It would be a good plane to add to the database.

Ron, I might suggest like on the US CA units in UV - ie 1/VO-3, 2/VO-3. It's what I did in my custom scenario having a 3 a/c section & they were only on 3 ships. The only ahistorical thing I did was to use Kingfishers since no Walrus were in database.

Brady, no Walrus in UV database as well as only 3 Aussie CA's that had them in UV, don't know about WITP as I'm only on the sidelines like most of us here waiting for all the playtesters to do their stuff. As to additional planes like you mentioned, how about the Dragon Rapide transport (I think thats name), some of the other China Clipper types used as early patrol planes by the Aussies (forget name offhand), Ansons etc. I'd like to see more diverse transports/patrol types other than C47/PBY.

There is quite a bit of diversity...that's why I was under the impression the Walrus was going to go in. Maybe the first patch as it is a little close to crunchtime.
