I don't think this has been dicussed before wondering how it is handled....
During the war over 2000 B-29's made emergency landings on Iwo Jima, this saved a good many of them from crashing trying to making it all the way back to the Maraiannas. I know WitP won't inculde this feature.... but is anything done to take account of this(ie give the B-29's higher durability ratings so mmore damaged ones make it home)? Or are B-29 losses just higher in the game then they historcally were? I know this is a little nich problem in a really BIG game, but 2000 B-29's is alot of aircraft just wondering.

You need Iwo so you have have escorts flying with the B-29's. Sending them in with no escorts is expensive as Japan by that time in the game has fighters that can climb high enough to get them.

This was brought up in the dev forum but I think nothing came of it. Too hard to code or something.
