Just wondering if there will be a FULL version 7 d/l available soon and where? Also, will it include a new .pdf manual, or is the 5.x one still accurate? I guess I've either overlooked in the manual or it's just not there, but I am currently playing the "Long Long road..." campaign, and I bought some 81mm mortars, but wanted them to have enuf ammo for the whole battle, but all I could afford was the "mule pack" instead of the ammo dump. Obviously they didn't work like I expected (like an ammo truck or depot), so how DO they work??? Oh, and one last thing, am I playing with fire if I upgrade to v7.0 while I'm in the middle of this campaign or is it a fairly safe operation? (i've already had to start over, since the directory got corrupted once time b4 when I was messing with the campaign editor and I'd rather not do that again, espcially since i'm actually doing better this go!! 1) The full v7 should be available sometime this week at http://www.matrixgames.com/Games/worldatwar/downloads.asp and soon after that at verious support sites.
2) The 5x Manual is still OK.
3) When you get a chance, upgrade the mules for real ammo carriers. Most of the pack mules are useless as far as this cowboy is concerned. Ammo dumps will reload guns faster than trucks.
4) Check the Forum to see about switching versions in the middle of a campaign. But to be on the safe side, my suggestion would be to finish first (especially if you're doing well!). [ December 17, 2001: Message edited by: Warrior ]

So are you saying that they ARE ammo carriers, just really slow? (BTW: they were just support units, not core) Thanks for the quick reply, I think I will finish it up b4 upgrading, especially since the full ver. won't b up for a while anyway.
