In one of the screen shots posted it showed a Yak-1 squadron, The range was listed a Normal 120 (2) and Extended 160 (2) So is there actually a difference in normal vs extended range for a yak-1 (among others I have heard that Nates and TBD's are also 2 min max ranged planes)? It seems like in this case the 60 mile hexes hurt the flexibility of the game but the jump from 30 to 60 was a necessity from programming/game managability so I can live with it, but are actual targets with in the same hex different distances from each other. ie is there a a target that a yak 1 could not reach with it's normal range of 2 hexes but could reach with its extended range of 2?
Thanks

No. The "extra" 40 miles plays no role in this case, only the range in hexes is relevent. If a hex can be reached, then all units/base in that hex become potential targets (assuming they are of a type that the a/c can attack).
