Hello. I am having problems forming AK transport TFs at San Francisco. No matter what I try, every turn these AK TFs have disbanded at SF (they are not set to auto-disband, they are loading supplies at the end of turn, they have destinations, and they aren’t part of autoconvoy). If I have escorts in the TF, the next turn only the escorts are in the TF and have moved on their way to their destination – alone. I have since placed all the AK s in SF into automatic supply because that seems like the only way I can get AK s out of SF. Am I missing something? I haven’t found anything in the manual to explain this.

Is there a minimum supply level you need to be leaving behind at SF? Are you repairing ships there that might be using up the SP's? I don't have the game yet, I'm just guessing that the AK's can't load and have to be left behind because the supplies are being consumed by the base itself, somehow...perhaps auto convoys out of SF are using it up?

I'm curious to find out what's going on here myself.

There are tons of supplies at SF and no damaged ships (yet). The strange thing is that I can form task forces at SF, begin loading them and give them destinations, but the next turn they have disbanded. TK transport missions work fine. AK missions work fine out of San Diego. I just can't get AKs out of SF except through autoconvoy (which has created and dispatched 3 transport TFs so far)

Not having the same version you do I can only guess ... but did you stick those ships into the Auto-Convoy system queue as ships that were free for use? Seeing as you say SF and the auto-convoy system is based on that port, it leads me down the path of asking that.

Wish I was at home. From what I can remember, every ship at SF which can be used in the autoconvoy system seems to be listed in the autoconvoy screen. There is a Yes/No toggle for those ships you wish to be used in the autoconvoy system. If a ship is chosen, it becomes red in the list and will be used by the ai to form convoys. If the toggle reads No, then I assume these ships are free to use by the player. Is this correct?

In my case, all AK ships that I have tried to form transport TFs with have had the No toggled in the autoconvoy screen – so should be free for duty. Am I missing a step somewhere?

Nope, doesn't sound like it. Red name = autoconvoy selected ship. Yellow name = not selected ship.

Do you have a save of the turn?
