Most will be bummed, sure Medck, but imagine how you'd feel if you paid for a Digital download and couldn't get it because the servers were overloaded? Matrix is just making certain that Digital River can handle the downloads... I for one am glad they're making sure... I may have a T3 at home, but a 10KB/sec download due to overload would still make for a LONG wait... It'll be along... Patience grasshopper...

I agree. Patience is a virtue. Good things come to those who wait. The longer the wait, the better the product in the end.

Well, gotta get back to my WitP game now!

That seems to contradict other threads that continue to offer hope for DD today.

They are talking to DR today. Eric has said he will post on the status of release for at least today when a decision has been made.

This delay, whether good or bad, is relative. I am anxiously awaiting the release and looking forward to it just as much as anyone else but for me to get it now would be disastrous. I am going to San Diego this weekend to lounge around on the beach doing my best imitation of a beer swilling imperialist American (I like American beer). But before I can go I need to complete a syllabus and lesson plan for a class that I teach that begins on TUESDAY!!! and I have two papers that I need to write that are due SUNDAY, So I need to have all of this done before Friday night. Getting WitP, before I return on Tuesday afternoon would, for me, not be a very good thing. However I will be checking the store and forums every hour to see if that DD is available. All I can really say is, quoting Bill the Cat, is "ACK Phhhht"

Good. Then I trust you will not be hogging any bandwith if it's released today. Leave it to those of us without other commitments.

I expect they listed week of July 5th so that if Digital River doesn't make it happen today, they have all next week to make it so. Eric posted elsewhere that DR will be off the next four days so that would put us to next week. I've waited many years for a new PacWar and another four or five days won't kill me. Now some of you, I wonder if you'll make it through the day! Entertaining at least, eh?
