They are probably downloading it and checking to see if it installs and everything...

Marc, Erik, excuse me for being computer-dumb, but: do I need to wait for game to appear in UK store before buying on DD? Or can I buy from US store?

Oh by the way, I nearly forgot: You are the world's greatest!!!!!!!!!

Guys,

Please just wait a little longer, we have not yet made the official announcement. If there are any glitches for those who have started their downloads already, you may have to redownload. Caveat emptor. Thanks.

I don't know why DR can't keep these things invisible, but they seem to be having some issues. The problem is that we stil need to do a few more steps from outside the store to guarantee that everything will work properly for you and be properly registered after download.

Regards,

- Erik

Well, I didn't check the forums before I noticed that it was up. Consequently, my download is over and done.

Hope I didn't screw anything up, didn't know there was a 'Hold Off' order in the works.

Hawaii,

Hopefully no problem, but at this point you're on the bleeding edge and you'll find out if there is one around the same time we do. Those of you who have already downloaded, if you got your order processed fine, got your serial number, installed and everything went smoothly then it's a good sign that our own testing will give everyone the green light. If not, as long as you got a serial number the worst case is you'll have to re-download.

My bad on not realizing that it had gone visible, we had asked DR to make sure that didn't happen until testing was complete.

Regards,

- Erik

We've asked DR several times to keep this stuff out of the public store until finished, I don't know if the staffing issue is affecting their performance today but I'm sorry for the confusion and I hope no problems result from it. Won't be long, please hang on.

Regards,

- Erik

It's ok, understood. Thanks for taking the time to actually post that everything worked fine for you, that's good to know and an excellent sign for an imminent green light for everyone else. I expect we won't be hearing more from you for a while...

Regards,

- Erik

No worries at all. I'm at work and am burning it to CD for tonight, so I can't comment on whether or not it'll install OK. If there's a problem, I won't be angry at Matrix. :)

I'll just download again.

I hope the frenzy of excitement over the release of this game is at least a little gratifying to you good folks at Matrix. Hopefully you can look back and laugh in a wee bit.

Cheers.

Hawaii,

Very gratifying, just a bit nerve-wracking at the moment.

Well, CD-on demand needs to be enabled still and the international stores need to have the same info checked and made public. We're talking to DR now trying to get things to where we want them. We thought it would be done by now, but time goes on. We're also placing test orders and doing test installs which seem to be going well (apart from the lack of CD-on demand and the graphics glitch). I'd guess within the next 30 minutes to an hour, I can't see it taking longer than that but then I thought we'd be done around noon...

Regards,

- Erik

Okay, thanks for the update. I appreciate all of your hardwork. This isn't exactly a trouble free launch, though, is it?

Not a biggie but I don't think the screenshots on the DR "More Info" page for WitP are correct. But don't delay giving the "All Clear" for that!

[Added in edit:]Also the box shot is for Starshatter.

No, not trouble-free, but unfortunately the glitches with timing were out of our control. We're just trying to get this done before all of DR's staff go home for the holidays. Hey, in the end, it will be worth it.

Regards,

- Erik

I'm sure you guys are pulling your hair out trying to get it all down.

Too bad there isn't competition for DR.
