Hi, and good to see another shipmate, even if it is just by association. We were coming back in 93' from Italy to decom, and they were placing bets on if we would burn and sink during the voyage. Those diesels really leaked bad. A tidbit for you all. The main propulsion engines for these ships were the same as the subs they tended. If the sub needed an engine they would simply cut a hole in the side of the ship, yank the engine, and replace the subs engine.
