Dunno what you get for average speeds, but I used to get approx. 96kb/s on DSL. I have cable now and got it in 23mins at an average of 336kb/s, so figure something like an hour and 20 minutes for you.

Assuming you're going to be using slower, resiential DSL, that is.

Filesize is 466 MB. If you divide those 466 MB by your downloadspeed you know how long it wil ltake.

Between 2 and 4 hours, depending on how many other people are switched on your line by your provider.

It took me 3 hours 40 minutes but normaly my DSL is much faster.

2-4hrs is a fair assessment. 6hrs is still reasonable if it's during peak times on the NET. The download is smooth though and the fact that you have DSL running will make it very efficient. Bit of a wait, but WELL worth it.

I had an average dl speed of 270 KB/second .

I started download about Midnight CET last night. The DL was not as fast as my conn could handle but I dont complain at all !

I took the US - Store because at this time, european dl was not aviable.

It took 3,5 hours on 390kb/s DSL (All time we had 39kB/s). The transfer was pretty stable.

Yes, that was one of the pleasant surprises with Digital River... There was so much concern about it being able to handle the load... But once it was up and running it was as stable as they come. Even at cable's speeds, there's always fluctuation. I have a T3 at home and while it was as good as 490KB/sec, it never dropped below 420... VERY stable!

Gotta hand it to Matrix. All the caution they took at getting this right paid off! Back to the game... KUDOS a plenty gents! WELL DONE!

It took me about 10 minutes from work. I had a speed of 600k/sec, which is the fastest I've seen. It didn't matter though because I have WinME and I can't play it until they fix the installer bug.

It *still* beats waiting 3 months until your local store happens to finally get of their arse and get one in stock for you.

Doesn't your local library have broadband and a burner? Hell, go to the university and offer some student a case of beer to use their computer lab. (Over 21, of course)

A little bit of advice if using a common machine, PLEASE flush the browser's cache afterwards. All your information will be sitting there for the next guy that happens to come along. I'd hate to see people get in that kind of a situation.

The same holds true even on your own machine, after downloading you probably have a 400+ meg file left sitting in your browser's cache directory eating up your hard drive space. Security on the Internet is extremely poor. Always remember that.

West Coast, USA DSL took me 56 minutes, which is slow for me, but that's before anyone knew it was out and all us were circling.
