Hi there !

I was playing the scenario "Dicker Max" and noticed that the 10,5 Pz Sf IVa has the wrong unit graphics.

Instead something big with treads I had to deal with an infantry group with 5 soldiers (which could be loaded into a halftrack).

Can someone tell me how I can correct this with the OOB editor or some other tool ?

Or are there new versions of the 8.2 OOB's around ?

Thanks for any hint and bye,

Martin

soma I am going to make a stab in the dark and say....Dicker Max probably hasn't been updated by the author to reflect the 8.2 OOBs. Just a WAQ.

AFAIK the 10,5 Pz Sf IVa is in the czech OOB. Is the "Dicker Max" scenario part of the standard V8.2 install?

Up to SP:WAW 8.01 Unit #151 was the "Dicker Max". In 8.2 it was replaced by a German rifle team, that's why you got a rifle team instead of the "Dicker Max"

replace the *.txt file extension of file attached below, to *.zip, unpack it into the V8.2 scen folder and thus replaced the broken scenario. The oncoming patch will have the fixed scen as well. The attached file here is a quick private fix!

Thanks for the fix.
Strange that nodoby realized that the 105mm K18 on PzVIa wasn't correct already in 8.01 (less penetration than a 75L48!)
Some questions:
Skirts?
Why no carry capacity?
Name of the scenario should be without the "s" :-)
Change in scen141.txt: "In Sep. 1939, Krupp..."
How can this unit be bought in "Battle"? I already changed Formation 39: Nation=70, 1stMo=3, 1stYr=41, u2=101, n2=1
but the only result is "German Hvy TD" disappears from Czech.

If you want to edit your OOB so that the German units in the Czech OOB are available for purchase, you need to edit the start date for each German unit to a suitably historic value, ie, not 1949 (does not work) or 1930 (far too silly) and also edit the formations that those units occur in to the same start date(s) Obviously, if two units with the same class occur then the formation that carries them should use the earliest start date.

Take for example unit 044 Ju-88 A1.
You might like to have this unit available in June 1941
Unit 037 Fw 190F is available in May 1942

So edit your Ju-88 to start in 6/41 and edit formation 1052 to the same start date.

similarly for other German units.

The same would apply to the Norway OOB where other specialty units are housed.

However, these units will not be availalbe for use in a PBEM battle without alerting your opponent that you have 'tampered' with your OOB's

Oh and yes! do not edit the Nation code from Czech to Germany.

Sorry it took so long to reply about my scenario, but am very busy anymore! I haven't been able to update ANY of my scenario's, since my lousy internet connection makes it impossible to download the whole 8.2, so I only play SPWW2 nowadays. Huffy was kind enough to send me a disk, but alas, the zip file wouldn't unzip, kept getting errors. If someone else would please consider sending me a disk, I would be more than happy to check out my scenario's, but as it stands, I can't afford cable, or whatever, and downloading even with getright would take eons!!

Best regards,
Mike

The problem is not in the scenario it is in the OOB.
The v8.3 update should correct the problem.

Mike, if you pm me your address, I'll mail you a CD with the v8.2 download.
