You didn't catch my reference to the Cars' "Let The Good Times Roll". What kind of music do you like to play, as a bassist? I'm pretty much a rocker, but give me a little reggae and some improv funk on the side. Speaking of Paul, he's my bass-playing hero. I also like John Paul Jones and Chris Squire. Now, if you're a historian, another guy who influenced many players is James Jamerson. This is the guy who played on most of those classic Motown hits of the 60s, and invented the bass sound that we've all imitated time & again when we play "My Girl" or "Tracks of my Tears", and many others.
