I thought Aus Comd units were restricted to the Oz mainland. I have a RAN Eng Unit (112 RAN Bs For unit in PT Moresby which I think air transported there. however I have just checked its TOE nad its radar and engineer vehicles are there as well. I haven't changed its command. I am playing the 4th scenario.

They are the same command...You flew tem with an assigned destination is why it let you.
It won't let you load them on ships because the computer isn't coded to know that you are taking them to another base with the same command.

That leads to the next point. normally if u airlift Eng units the eng veh and radar equipment is too heavy and left behind, but they are at PM at the moment

That's an issue that has been brought to their attention and is being worked on I think.

Are you sure you tranported it?

The 112 RAN Base unit actually starts scenario 4 already in Port Moresby.

That's not my nickname. I was named after my father. All the men in my family have been drongos since way back.

Ahhh how about the Heavy equiptments SHIPPED in while the light stuff and Troops are airlifted in?

In fact you could have had the Heavy stuff loaded and shipped out before the troops get airlifted in
