I am playing scenario 15 and assigned the computer control of all zones accept the Central Pacific. I wanted to get a feel for what I can expect from the AI. As far as I can see, BIG MISTAKE! No one has gotten off the dime yet and it is Feb. 1942. Singapore fell early in January, along with a ton of navel and air assets, and Rangoon not too long after. A short march later and Mandalay is in Japanese hands. All the while troops are building up in Karachi. At this rate that will be their last stand. All of the lift capability stays firmly bottled up in Indian ports. The AVG spends their time relocating between Dacca and another airfield, and back again.
In the DEI, once the navel assets return from operations to their ports, they remain there to die from the coming port strikes, never to sortie again. The air operations do seem to be effective though. In OZ, not a single thing has happened accept for me transporting in SWPAC units.
Also, I know this has been noted before but here it is again, The automatic convoys out of Karachi are automatic stinkers. Routing supplies to DEI by way of Pearl? Long way around!
Any other observations or suggestions from anyone?
Edit: I also sent SOPAC Reinforcements in

My biggest problem was that the AI would leave all of the ships to be scuttled in port after being captured, you would think that when the attackers start getting 1 to 1 odds they would know it's time to Get Out Of Dodge.

Later,

I agree, the same follows with the aircraft. I lost a bunch of both at Singapore.
