After weeks of unsuccessful DLing I finally got V8.2...Of course there was a very large fire coming right over the hill and headed straight for Jasmin Ranch, here in Acton Ca. For all of you who know me and where I live...We are fine...no structures burned and horses dogs, cats and people all safe and secure...and YES...I did take time to load the new version, yank my PC and evacuate the premises...LOL

scared hell out of ny wife..weird sense of exhaleration for me.??? Fact is I had absolute confidence in our Fire Fighters. Fantastically organizied, well run, and dedicated to their jobs. An elite group if ever there was one. They drew a line around the ranches here and not so much as an ember got through. My personal, heartfelt thanks to fire fighters everywhere.

You couldn't be more right, John. One of the great things that the fire brought out is this little ranch community is REALLY a community...something not normally found in the more populous areas of our fair State. All of us pitched in to help one another and folks that were not in harms way got involved, moving horses, livestock, dog, cats, and pot bellied pigs away from the danger!
