No! Not the real website that would be boring.

This site just launched is a spoof website created almost overnight as a parody of the real one which probably contains much more worthwhile advice.

The Blairites have already attempted to get it taken of the web so if you want a laugh read it quick.

http://www.preparingforemergencies.co.uk/

p.s. For those who want to compare here is the address of the real site.

If you like that, you may appreciate the creative genius some of these caption writers have displayed

All from official pictures at the equivalent US emergency web site.

Cheers Didz, I'd be surprised if the 'Blairites' are trying too hard to get it removed since it's such an obvious parody. And a very funny one too

Apparently, they claim it might cause confusion amongst the stupid British public. Just goes to show how little respect they have for the intelligence of Joe Public really

The UK one is quite funny, but you're right, the US one is funnier. Thanks.

I suspect the guy who failed to register the ".co.uk" address is being fired right now...

I hope they take it down, though. Mildly amusing, unless of course someone happens to come across it looking for advice in a hurry after a REAL emergency, when all of a sudden it isn't funny after all.

Are people really likely to sit searching the Web for advice in the immediate aftermath of a terrorist attack? Will the nearest computer be working? Will its Internet connection be working?

Surely this is stuff people read beforehand, or not at all...
