Is there any way to capture and use the abandoned tanks of the enemy army? It would be quite good thing... My second question: Do someone knows a way to increase the size of the core army during a generated campaign?

No, there's no official way to use captured gear. and, No, you can't increase core size. Go Pats! Alex

Well..I found a 'dirty' way to increase core units..but I am not sure about this so I hope to receive more comments about this.. I am playing a campaign...and noticed that when I have crews surviving one battle they are available into the purchase menu for the next one..
I can't remember now if they are shown into the rebuild menu but I am sure they are listed when you press change and you enter the menu for changing a unit...on the right there is the list of all units in green...click on the crew ..I had G3 destroyed and I clicked on it into the rebuild menu to access the list of all units in green ..then selected no more G3 but clicked on H50 and changed it from crew to M4 81mm mortar..they become red and then I have choosen
the preferred replacement The next battle of the campaign I had H0 togheter with H50 and G3 all rebuilt In other words (I do not is it has been designed this way or not) H50 does not disappear from the list of your units when you fix or change a destroyed H0 whose crew survived...they become new core units at all...
certainly that will maybe cost in command points issue as now more points are needed to command a larger platoon... This happenend to me for Utah to Rhine campaign..
I started it since spwaw1.0 and now I am going on with that campaign through several versions of SPWAW...everything worked till now..maybe this situation does not exist if you start the campaign directl from ver 7.0 ...I don't know.. actually my core units increased of three new crew-units...and obviously they have been upgraded to better useful units.. I don't know what may happens if they are destroyed in the battle...I am taking care of them...
Bye

Greetings and salutations, I recall there being a few pieces of enemy armor in the OOBs for a couple of different countries. I believe that the Germans can, at one point, use captured T-34s (I don't remember the exact version). Also, I know that there are PzIIIs and PzIVs in the Russian OOB. The "realistic" way to do this in a campaign or the long World War 2 Campaign would be to only use these units as replacement tanks for crews that lost their original ride (i.e. when you fix/change them between battles, use the captured armor rather than a replacement PzIII). Of course, if you wanted true realism, you should note how many enemy tanks were abandoned at the end of the battle and restrict yourself to this many units during the fix/change stage. I haven't gotten to the point where I have needed to use this tactic yet, but I think it would be interesting to have my armor be reduced to a "rag-tag" collection of T-34s and some captured German PzIIIs and PzIVs. There are also probably some good possibilities here for campaign and scenario designers. Perhaps it would be possible to create a small campaign detailing the exploits of a unit that gets caught behind enemy lines for an extended period of time? Is it possible to restrict the player selections during the fix/change phase so the only new armor that could be purchased would be "captured" enemy armor, representing that the unit has had its supply lines cut? Okay, enough rambling. I hope this helps.
